gorgeous! my aunt is an equine/animal artist - very detailed and amazing. It is also amazing how you bring out the power with relaxed strokes. Love it! Do you take your own pictures of your subjects or are they out of memory? Curious Catherine!
Thank you Catherine, I have had horses all my life, started riding when I was three. Drawing horses just came naturally for me, even at a young age, probably because I love these magnificent animals so much. All of my paintings are from my minds eye. At times, I want to portray the energy, the boldness and the brush work with be dynamic. Other times, I want the painting to convey the gentle nature of this humble creature.. the true spirit of the equine. Thanks for your kind comments. Marcia
