I am an Israeli painter, mostly in watercolors, residing in Tampa and married to a Japanese man. Your koi painting is gorgeous! We have a pond in the back that we began with five 1-inch koi that are now a foot long! I have tried repeatedly to paint them, but have been so far unable to! Your paintings of koi are gorgeous. I am an Israeli painter (AmbrosiaPalette.com) married to a Japanese man, and therefore, koi are especially evocative to me. We have a koi pond in the back that started with five tiny 1-inch koi, which are now 1-foot long and number 15. I have repeatedly tried to paint them in my preferred medium, watercolor, but have so far been very unsatisfied with the outcome. When I saw yours, I really got inspired.
